This is a special mix for me. I made it a long time ago.
Each song takes me back to a time when
I was just discovering NYC club life.
Roxy was the place to be
and Peter Rauhofer was the man to hear.
He showed me what dance music really is
and how it's supposed to sound.
I taught myself how to mix records,
but Peter taught how to create a mood.
I put my heart into this mix. I tinkered with it for over a year.
Adding tracks and taking them away.
Dropping vocals and beats, here and there.
Developing a message.
This mix was the student mimicking the teacher,
and I'm forever grateful for what I've learned
and how far I've come.
